Samy has been selected and appointed by the board with unanimous vote as President and CEO of the US-Algeria Business Council September 2024. Samy has been the country Director (Consultant) of HGR Energy since 2019.
He has extensive experience and is a long-time advocate of Algeria energy consumption reduction in the construction industry.

Founding member and President of Algeria’s first think tank in 2002, Cercle d’Action et de Réflexion Autour de l’Entreprise CARE, (www.care.dz).

Formerly a fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington DC.

Holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, Canada, and degrees in business and economics with a specialization in finance and computer science from the University of Richmond, United Kingdom.
